Andrew and Rebecca met at a bar in Newport Beach, CA at a mutual friend's birthday party. They hit it off immediately and talked the whole night. But unfortunately, Andrew was only in town visiting and flew back home to New York City that next morning. So they got each other's numbers to keep in touch - little did they know, these two Bud Lights were just the beginning.

After 6 weeks of texting and weekly Sunday night phone calls, Rebecca finally made the cross-country trip to NYC so they could have their proper first date. (Yes, all of their friends thought they were crazy). They had an amazing time together and made plans to see each other again.

Andrew came to visit Rebecca in Newport Beach for the 4th of July. He says he was planning to wait until the end of the trip, but in under 24 hours, Andrew asked Rebecca to be his girlfriend at the same place they met (moments after this photo was taken).

4th of July weekend came and went, but on July 5th, Andrew decided to cancel his flight and stay another week.

Some may say it was quick, but when you know, you know. After a sunset Duffy ride with friends - a quintessential Newport Beach activity - Andrew told Rebecca he loved her, and she said it right back.

They spent the next several months going back and forth, east coast to west coast, visiting each other. Doing every cheesy touristy thing in New York...

...Andrew slowly but surely won over Rebecca's dog Elliott...

...And by their 1 year anniversary, Rebecca had moved to NYC, and their days of long distance had finally come to an end.

Rebecca, Andrew, and Elliott spent the year exploring New York, working their respective jobs in the city, and enjoying being together.

After a year of life in the big city, Rebecca, Andrew, and now "their" dog Elliott left New York with their sights set on settling down somewhere they saw themselves long term - so they made their 2nd cross country move to Dallas, TX to start their next chapter together.

Just about a year later, Andrew took Rebecca on a little getaway to Catalina Island, CA to celebrate her birthday, where he gave her a birthday surprise of a lifetime. On their way to dinner, he asked her to marry him, and she said yes.

On this day, which will be exactly five years since the day they met, Rebecca and Andrew will get married at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic alongside all their closest friends and family.
